We're looking for a talented Senior QA/testing engineer to help us grow the product line and expand across the United States. An ideal candidate brings curiosity, maturity, attention to details and a deep understanding of the software development life cycle. Our current environment requires heavy manual testing capability. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Own QA efforts for MGA BU teams and manage complex projects following STLC process.  
  • Test Planning and Design: Creating and implementing test plans and test cases, identifying and prioritizing test cases, and designing test scenarios. 
  • Manual Testing: Conducting manual testing of software products and applications, including functional testing, regression testing, and acceptance testing. 
  • Test Automation: Drive test automation for the features/products for MGA BU.  
  • Bug Reporting and Tracking: Identifying and reporting software defects and tracking their resolution using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. 
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Collaborating with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software products and applications are delivered on time and meet quality standards. 
  • Quality Assurance Processes: Developing and implementing quality assurance processes, best practices, and standards to ensure that software products and applications meet customer expectations. 
  • Documentation: Documenting test results, test plans, and test cases, and providing feedback to software developers and product managers on ways to improve software products and applications. 
  • Leadership and mentoring: Leading and mentoring junior QA engineers, providing guidance and support, and sharing knowledge and best practices. 
  • Continuous Learning: Keeping up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques, and continuously improving the quality assurance processes and procedures.  
  • Utilize and apply expert knowledge of computer science principles and methodologies to evaluate test case capabilities. 
  • Conduct FE and BE testing; work with APIs, DBs, S3 
  • Conduct cross-browser testing to check the compatibility of applications across various browsers (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). 

Must Haves: 

  • 5+ years of extensive experience in manual testing (QA work) 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any related field of study
  • Demonstrable knowledge, experience, skill and proficiency with the following:
    -Scrum/Agile methodologies 
    -SDLC, STLC 
    -Jira or Bugzilla for bug tracking
    -One or more of the following testing tools (or similar): TestRail, Postman, Jira, Browserstack, Cypress, Testim.
    -One or more of the following: SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Python (with JavaScript or Python preferred)
    -Unix / Linux environments. AWS / GCP cloud environments
    -Automation Experience is a plus.

The base pay range for this role if located in the SF Bay Area is $114,000 - $171,600. The National range is $86,400 - $129,600.  Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, location, business needs and market demands.
