Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Cloud Security Engineer with expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, Akamai - WAF/CDN, AWS, Azure, and GCP, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud security infrastructure for our organization. You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is secure, compliant, and resilient. You will also collaborate with application development teams to integrate security controls into their applications.. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, deploy and configure Palo Alto firewalls, Akamai, AWS and GCP security technologies in the cloud environment. 
• Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and procedures. 
• Monitor and manage cloud security incidents, including threat analysis, containment, and remediation. 
• Collaborate with application development teams to integrate security controls into their applications. 
• Conduct security assessments of cloud environments and provide recommendations for improvements. 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, and SOC 2. 
• Continuously evaluate emerging cloud security technologies and provide recommendations for adoption. 
• Work with other IT teams to ensure the overall security of the organization’s infrastructure. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
• 4+ years of experience in cloud security engineering with expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, Akamai, AWS, and GCP. 
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. 
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, architecture, and best practices. 
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO, and CIS. 
• Experience with security incident response and threat analysis. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Relevant security certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Security Engineer are a plus.
