Senior Product Manager - Operations Technology International | Production Planning (m/f/x)

The role

We are seeking a dynamic and data-driven Senior Product Manager to join our Operations Technology team at HelloFresh. This role goes beyond traditional process and product management; it's about pioneering change and driving innovation in Operations Enablement for millions of customers, and thousands of employees across 16 countries.

You will lead a small team of Product Managers which together form the ‘Operations Enablement’ team. In this role you will act as the main business owner for the Operations Enablement domain, with the main focus on production planning, production steering, and other production data related topics. You will play a major role in managing and bringing together concurrent projects that are key to standardizing data and processes, as well as automating decision making across our Fulfillment Centers. 

You will work closely together with all stakeholders on building a vision for this domain, assist our tech teams during the development of the systems, and ultimately you will be responsible for the implementation of these systems in our various local markets. To achieve this you will work closely together with various Global stakeholders, including local markets, Global Product, Data and Engineering, and many other International Operations teams. 

As a Senior Product Manager in the Fulfillment Operations organization, you'll be reporting into the Director Operations Technology. The international role will be based in our Berlin office and will involve frequent travel to our local warehouses across markets (e.g. UK, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands…) and potentially extended stays during roll-out periods.

What you’ll do

• Problem solving – together with your stakeholders you will identify, structure and prioritize solutions to various complex business problems. You will use your extensive operational experience to ensure that solutions are scalable and best in class.
• Data Management – you will be working on complex projects which aim to simplify, standardize and mainly automate our production planning process. You will not only work on building the next generation of systems, but you will also support ongoing operations where needed by tweaking and supporting existing spreadsheet tools.
• Strategy and planning – you will make sure that only the highest impact projects are prioritized, and you will assist other stakeholders with the planning of their product and team roadmaps. You will be a key strategic contributor to multiple projects in parallel that together will contribute to the business’s strategic vision to improve and automate decision-making across our value chain, maintaining, at the same time, full stakeholder visibility.
• Continuous improvement – acting as the main business partner for our operations tech teams, you will determine improvements required in our systems and tools, which will help our Operations teams manage production capacity and process efficiency. You will work very closely together with the tech teams to realize these improvements and support with the rollout and implementation internationally.
• Project implementation - working cross functionally, you will be responsible for implementing new operational projects with a focus on rolling out systems and tools in our operations.
• Stakeholder management & collaboration - you will grow, train and maintain our local system key user community for our systems across multiple markets. You will work with a multitude of different teams, both locally and internationally
• Quality assurance – you will ensure operational excellence towards our systems by focusing on both the system itself (hardware/software) as well as the tech process adherence.

What you’ll bring

• You have experience within a production or supply chain environment
• You demonstrate experience at a (operational / management) consulting firm with focus on operations projects or experience with one of the leading manufacturing companies
• You have extensive experience in data handling as well as production systems.
• You have an excellent academic record with a degree from a top tier college or University (Engineering and Business degrees preferred.)
• You have exceptional project and people management skills and thrive in an environment which requires cross functional collaboration
• You have a demonstrated ability to deliver impact and work autonomously
• You have the ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving growth environment
• You have superior analytical skills, data handling experience and operational modeling capabilities
• You have an interest in and extended understanding of IT-structures and database technologies
• You have experience with fulfillment systems or tools (e.g. warehouse management systems, ERP-systems, pick by light, production planning system) - a big plus
• You have an interest to frequently travel abroad (~40%)
