Position Summary

We are looking for a Technical Writer who can create and manage high quality content targeted to developers, DevOps, and management. Content topics range from quick start guides, how-tos, technical reference (API), concepts, release notes, and videos. This role anchors in Harness’ Continuous Integration (CI) product group, but is not limited to this subject space.

About the role

  • Create, edit, and manage content for Harness continuous deployment, continuous integration, and other products. This includes customer-facing developer and DevOps documentation, blogs, training material and community copy
  • As part of the Product team, you will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Sales Engineers, and Customer Success to document new features, improve existing content, and provide UI text and tooltips.
  • Plan docs, blogs and technical material for new product releases with Product Managers and Product Marketing.
  • Contribute to self-service new user onboarding: wizards, in-app content, videos, etc.
  • Become a Harness CI documentation  SME

About you

  • 7+ years as a technical writer or Developer Advocate for a technical, software solution.
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills 
  • Basic coding or scripting skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment based on the needs of internal teams and customers.
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships with Product Managers, R&D and customer facing teams.
  • Experience with: CI/CD technologies & tools: Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Helm, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud,, etc. (hands on, or documenting)
