Guild is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build user features, design and implement APIs, and take the lead on solving engineering problems within the Payments engineering group. We are an organization of engineers, product managers, and designers who are excited about using technology to support millions of adult learners across the country. The Payments group at Guild handles large cash flows between partners on a daily basis, while ensuring that the process is auditable and reliable.

As Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will:

  • Build and design well-tested frontend web applications from the ground up
  • Proactively engage with your team in daily stand-ups, planning meetings, and retrospectives
  • Write simple, clean, and maintainable code
  • Plan engineering work for yourself and others
  • Collaborate with a Product Manager or Designer to ensure that plans, stories, and estimates are accurate and prioritized properly
  • Mentor engineers in our engineering organization – we’ll succeed, learn, and grow together
  • Deliver user value on a predictable cadence
  • Collect and use metrics to guide the scaling of our products
  • Suggest process improvements within your team 

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency with building new products, automated testing, and continuous integration patterns
  • A Learner’s Mindset – always be learning and sharing what you learn with others
  • Experience in any of these primary technologies that Guild uses for new products: Python, Node.js, React, Typescript, Javascript, GraphQL, AWS Lambda
  • Experience working collaboratively in teams – respect, communication, and recognition are an important part of building software at Guild
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational database paradigms
  • Delivery experience with iterative software development and/or lean product development
  • Background in utilizing Financial Services and/or Payments solutions such as Stripe, Netsuite to integrate with in-house software systems

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $155,000 - $180,000, as well as company stock options.
