We're hiring Solutions Engineers in the U.S. and Canada and we're considering candidates from Senior to Principal! Special consideration will be given to EST-based candidates due to current team needs.

Who We Are

At Gretel, our mission is to build the world’s best developer platform for synthetic data.  Gretel provides and fine tunes AI models to generate synthetic data that preserves privacy and maintains accuracy to the original data.  Our platform solves the data bottleneck problem for developers, data scientists, and AI/ML researchers.

We’re a highly collaborative remote company with employees across the US & Canada. Our innovative and transparent culture offers employees the autonomy, tools, and trust to act like owners, and we're looking for a talented Solutions Engineer to join our mission!

The Impact You’ll Have

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll work side-by-side with various pre and post sales teams to articulate Gretel’s mission and value to new prospects and existing customers. You will help to differentiate the platform throughout the sales process, drive value centered proof of concepts (POC) and paid pilots, and help closed customers flourish. The activities performed by a Solutions Engineer are diverse - one day you might be assisting with a high-level pitch of Gretel to an executive, the next day you might be working hands-on to develop an impactful POC, and the next you’re helping a customer stand up a new kubernetes cluster to deploy new synthetic data pipelines.

You will play a critical role in driving the success of our sales efforts by combining your kube, machine learning, and data pipeline / ETL skills to support our prospects and customers in delivering a synthetic data strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery (in collaboration with the sales team) to understand prospects’ ML and engineering requirements. You’ll own constructing a compelling value proposition of Gretel’s platform.

  • Build custom prototypes and product demos that highlight end-to-end operationalized use cases in Gretel.

  • Be the voice of the customer: proactively identify opportunities in our product based on trends identified across customer needs, and build solutions to address these emerging patterns.

  • Be the connective tissue across  Sales, Product, Engineering, Applied Science, Partnerships, and the customer to develop strategies to remove customer and deal roadblocks.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in generative AI, data privacy, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales or other technical customer-facing role serving Enterprise customers and showcasing a track record of successful technical sales support. Ideally, this will include value-based selling of a hybrid solution.

  • Fluency in Python, utilizing Collab or Jupyter notebooks, and working with open-source libraries.

  • Deep experience working with containers and related tooling (Kubernetes, Helm, Kubecutl) on AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Deep experience working with data pipelines and orchestration / tooling for the modern data stack.

  • Previous hands on engineering experience in: Data Engineering, MLOps, Kubernetes.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to operate with high horsepower, adept at frequent context switching and working on multiple projects at once with expansive ownership and prioritization.

  • Proven experience rolling out multi-cloud/hybrid solutions with complex requirements to Enterprise and regulated customers.

  • Capable of owning problems end-to-end, a deep curiosity to acquire knowledge, and the humility to figure out what is missing to get the job done.

  • Passion for thriving in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%) for customer meetings, conferences, and industry events as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ Years of experience working with state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models.

  • 3+ Years of exposure to modern machine learning frameworks and technologies.

  • Knowledge of data privacy concepts, data security, and data privacy regulations including anonymization, de-identification, privacy by design, GDPR, etc.

  • Experience implementing or working with data anonymization or data obfuscation techniques is preferred.

  • Experience working at a growth-stage startup where you were involved in the process buildout and scalability.
