We are excited to announce an opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Engineer Lead to join our dynamic DevOps team in Nicosia.

DevOps Engineer Lead Works throughout the software development life cycle and performs in a utility capacity to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications with a broad understanding of a variety of languages and architectures. Analyzes existing applications or formulates logic for new applications, procedures, flowcharting, coding and debugging programs. Maintains and utilizes application and programming documents in the development of code. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Creates appropriate deliverables and develops application implementation plans throughout the life cycle in an agile development environment.

Summary of This Role:

  • We are looking for DevOps Engineer(s) with experience creating and managing frameworks that will help build CI/CD/CT pipelines to enable application deployments in our AWS environments. 

  • A DevOps Engineer Lead is someone who can develop significant features of a DevOps Framework from ideation thru production rollout. The role involves hands-on development, testing, and fielding questions from stakeholders from Technical Leaders. 

  • A successful DevOps Engineer Lead would have a deep understanding of systems, Network Protocols, modern scripting, and enterprise-level languages as well as open-source tools that can and should be leveraged to solve problems.  In this role, you will work on products that involve AWS Services, Kubernetes, Private Cloud, Jenkins, Groovy, Git, Docker, Terraform, Chef or Ansible, to name a few. 

  • The candidate is expected to own all technical aspects of the product – including DevOps aspects, CI/CD, and Platform - leveraging the self-service tools made available by Cloud Engineering Teams. 

  • The candidate will be leading other highly skilled developers and QA professionals with different skill sets in an Agile environment. 

  • Prior experience in scripting using Go, Python, or Shell Scripts., administering Java and web workloads in cloud environments, creating solutions to automate workload deployments and easing developer/tester experiences, and introducing concepts such as chaos engineering and others is highly desirable. As part of the team, you will be contributing towards Modernization efforts to architect and design platforms for the cloud.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use a wide variety of AWS cloud services to implement and support platform architecture.

  • Model and create resources in Kubernetes.

  • Model, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform on AWS.

  • Build, maintain, and support InfoSec solutions.

  • Effectively manage and assign projects while lending support to the team.

  • Build and maintain tools, solutions and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform.

  • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch.

  • Test the system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or a related field

  • 6+ overall IT Experience in hands-on roles

  • 4+ years in DevOps

  • 4+ years of experience with Groovy, Python, or Ruby

  • 4+ years of experience with Docker, ECS, or Kubernete

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or a related field

  • Typically, a minimum of 8 years - Professional Experience in Coding, Designing, Developing, and Analyzing Data.
