Job Description: 

As an Automation Engineer, you will work in a highly collaborative environment interfacing with Salesforce developers and Product Owners to help develop and deliver critical Salesforce solutions for GEICO. Specifically, drive CRM automation framework and tool development in support of CRM Workstream development strategy as well as create, maintain, execute automated development solutions. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between. 

Job Responsibilities: 

As a Senior Engineer, you will: 

  • You will be playing a pivotal role in shaping our Salesforce Platform capabilities, work with various business and technology stakeholders and be part of the Salesforce center of excellence 

  • You will be partnering with the product owner, product analysts and the Salesforce engineering team to identify and automate the appropriate Functional and Regression use cases for the user stories in the Salesforce platform backlog using automation framework 

  • You will be responsible in Creating use cases using automation scripts with BDD framework. 

  • You will be responsible for test cases, test scripts, test plan, end to end test scenarios and assist in defining the acceptance criteria for the requirements 

  • You will work alongside a great team of Salesforce engineers, scrum masters and data engineers who constantly strive towards developing each other and driving the organization's aspirations ahead 

  • Participate in the product increment planning and document test plan and test scenarios in collaboration with the product owner, product analysts and engineers 

  • Assist Test Leads/Peers in creating the overall test plan and strategy for the CRM initiatives and product rollouts 

  • Break down the complexity of the test scenarios into unit, system, and user acceptance categories 

  • Clearly document the test scenarios for all user stories in the product backlog 

  • Perform validation of Platform customization through the sprints – Integration and User environment 

  • Own the system integration testing and move the user stories ahead into user acceptance testing 

  • Ensure business stakeholders are completing the user acceptance testing and obtain approval to release to production 

  • Coordinate and Assist UAT teams in validating the product enhancement meets the intended requirements 

  • Ensure that the Salesforce platform backlog is comprehensive with sized user stories, enriched with testing estimates for developing automation scripts 

  • Track all dependent team's testing and ensure smooth sprint completion 

  • Follow up with all engineers to ensure the stories are moved through the SIT, UAT environments in time to keep the sprint effective 

  • Assist in coordinating the go-live Quality Assurance activities including the test execution of the production specific test plans and checklists 

  • Assist in ensuring that the sprint goals are met each sprint 

  • Own any production defects validation, test and funnel them through sprints towards fixes as applicable 

  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle 

  • Mentor other engineers 

  • Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in Project/application resource estimations and project planning 

  • Experience in Unit and Integration testing of web services, UI and Mobile Responsive and native app testing 

  • Experience in using Azure DevOps – Custom Queries, Dashboard, Analytics, Power BI reporting and Test plan modules 

  • Experience in evaluating automation tools and frameworks 

  • Experience in troubleshooting techniques like, evaluating the application logs for any integration and experience in SPLUNK queries for logs validation 

  • Experience in using Selenium based Keyword/data drive frameworks developed in C# or any other COTS and Open-source test automation tools like -TOSCA, Ranorex, Cucumber – BDD frameworks 

  • Experience in test data management tools for data retrieval from SQL/TDM tools 

  • Experience with CRM Customer Service, CRM Customer Acquisition, CRM EDGE, CRM Marketing, CRM Sales Platform, filed adjuster and Analytics work streams 

  • Required Ability to Independently drive projects and outcomes, work with minimal supervision. Strong problem solving, critical thinking, organization, and communication skills. Must be flexible to learn / adapt new coding language as required. Develop new utilities to support test automation needs 

  • Team player who can work with different teams in the organization in a seamless manner 

  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering which includes Developing enterprise test strategy, Roadmap process and framework that would enable team to perform functional automation – In Sprint and reuse them for E2E/UAT testing 

  • Extensive experience in COTS product implementation testing and experience in platform testing – new and upgraded testing 

  • Experience in web service integration (REST/SOAP) and enterprise middleware integration tiers (such as MuleSoft or Informatica) 

  • Well versed in test case management using ADO and Confluence 

  • Preferred to have SF CPQ certification 

  • Preferred to have certifications in any testing tools and methodologies 

  • Preferred to have certifications in CSM or PMI-ACP 

  • Some development experience is preferred 

Experience: 

  • 4+ years of development experience on an enterprise Salesforce platform (Financial Services Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Service Cloud) 

  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce Environment management, Deployment and Code Development 

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service 

  • 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks, or one of the following: .NET Core, asp. Net, Angular, or Express 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
