That is why we are looking for an innovative Marketing Project Manager to become an integral part of the GEICO PMO Organization supporting the Marketing Analytics team.  The Project Manager, Marketing Data Analytics, will objectively manage the project management process, tools, and templates of the Marketing Analytics team as well as collaboration across the broader Marketing department, fostering an integrated process to ensure the highest quality work is delivered with the greatest efficiency.  You will be working closely with our team of industry-leading marketing professionals, as well as external vendors and agency partners.  

 

Collaboration and strong communication skills will be critical to the success of this role. Our marketing organization is rapidly evolving and integrating new functions – so it is important you are comfortable with a high level of interoperability across various internal and external teams to produce solutions as well as developing new methods. This individual is expected to challenge the status quo and raise the bar with every initiative. 

 

This role reports into the PMO function with a dotted line reporting to the VP, Head of Marketing Analytics 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Own all project management responsibilities and lead PM (Project Managers) supporting 35-40 Marketing Analytics professionals. The Marketing Analytics team supports all areas of marketing including Integrated Media, Creative, and Growth & Journey Marketing for all Data, Analytics, and Research needs. This includes providing analysis, research, and insights to help optimize the marketing ecosystem. 

  • Fully manage the Marketing Analytics project portfolio of the Marketing Analytic projects, working cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Integrated Media, Creative, and Growth & Journey Marketing as well as other key stakeholders across the organization as needed. 

  • Project management may include initiatives in the following areas: 

  • Providing ongoing Audience Activation and Measurement in support of our marketing campaigns across our online and offline marketing touchpoints. 

  • Marketing Science initiatives including customer-based modeling, measurement infrastructure, and Marketing Mix Modeling. This team also has a Marketing Data Operations team providing the data and technical infrastructure required to enable Marketing Analytics and the other marketing teams as needed. 

  • Marketing Research projects including Brand Health Tracker, Creative Insights, Segmentations, etc. 

  • Contribute to the strategic direction and maturity roadmap of the Marketing PMO function in collaboration with other Sr. PMO leaders and the Chief Marketing Officer. 

  • Contribute to the implementation and on-going optimization of processes and tools that will support and advance the operations of the marketing organization. 

  • Provide regular project status reporting, and work with leaders and marketing partners to outline project roadmaps and plans with key milestones and deliverables.  

  • Facilitate project status, grooming, and prioritization meetings with stakeholders and department leaders.  

  • Work with cross-functional partners to align on project priorities, milestone management, objectives, audiences to influence and interdependent implications. 

  • Drive resource management with a clear line of sight to optimize timelines, capacity, and resources to increase efficiency. 

  • Facilitate and maintain effective communication throughout project lifecycle (timelines, routing, job prioritization). 

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our marketing calendar and pillars of activity, understanding the necessary stages and gates of briefing, strategy, tactical plans, execution, reporting and billing 

  • Ensure project management processes and tools drive operational efficiency and efficacy of the Marketing organization. 

  • Support Project Management of enterprise level projects for the Marketing Executive Leadership Team as needed. 

  • Lead updates and communication plans to GEICO Senior Leadership Team and CEO for cross-functional projects in support of Marketing Analytics. 

 

DELIVERABLES: 

  • Manage and control project work by creating project plans outlining deliverables, sequencing work activities, and identifying milestones. 

  • Route work for internal approvals; communicate timelines, changes in scope and contract status to cross-functional partners. 

  • Schedule and facilitate intake and strategic kickoff meetings to align stakeholders and team members on objectives, timelines, and responsibilities. 

  • Champion business agile project management best practices across the organization and drive implementation of projects. 

  • Facilitate retrospectives with teams to determine improvement opportunities. 

  • Create and participate in communities of practice for standardization within the PMO.   

  • Facilitate regular meetings with cross functional teams to answer questions and resolve obstacles. 

  • Create weekly dashboards to report on project management KPIs. 

  • Conduct detailed project reviews with Senior Manager. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & CORE COMPETENCIES: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, STEM, or a related field.

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing cross-functional teams. 

  • 5-7+ years of project management or relevant experience in a customer-centric organization (brand, retention, agency, consulting, MarTech, analytics, etc.) and a demonstrated track record of effectively delivering projects in a fast-moving environment; experience with PM for technical marketing teams (MarTech, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering) strongly preferred.   

  • Hands on experience working in a project management system (ex: Wrike, Asana, JIRA, ADO, DAMs). 

  • Procurement/Contract based- experience with legal and procurement processes, experiencing project managing contract renewals and renegotiations. 

  • Strong project management experience including project planning, timeline management, and ability to define and meet deadlines. 

  • Balances Immediate and Long-Term Priorities: Seeks to meet critical objectives while considering the impact of those decisions and activities on the ability to achieve long-term goals. 

  • Make the complex simple. 

  • Effectively field immediate questions, while also addressing the bigger picture by connecting and influencing key stakeholders inside and outside of GEICO. 

  • Navigate changing priorities, urgent leadership needs, brand challenges and negotiations with ease. 

  • Self-starter with the confidence and ability to tackle new initiatives with little guidance. 

  • Demonstrated experience presenting to and working with VP+ senior executives. 

Preferred Qualifications:

PMI certifications (PMP, CAPM, or like) preferred.

Annual Salary

$107,000.00 - $168,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
