About the role:

Gartner is looking for well-rounded and skilled software engineers to join the Gartner’s Peer Insights Team. You will be part of a highly motivated agile team driven by innovation and collaboration. As part of the Peer Insights and Product Technology team, you will work on the high-performance web development environments using cutting edge web technologies. You will work in a multi-cloud environment and use containerized pipelines for applications.

What you will do:

  • Develop high quality, simple, secure, innovative and scalable technical solutions.  

  • Assumes ownership and takes responsibility for successful delivery. 

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced Agile/SCRUM environment.  

  • Focus on Software quality and follow good software engineering practices 

  • Provide scalable and secure software solutions

  • Actively participates and constantly explores opportunities for improvements.

  • Translates designs and style guides provided by the Design team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field or equivalent experience in software development 

  • 3+ years of experience developing customer facing web applications. 

  • 3+ years of experience in React.JS, Node.JS, Java & SQL 

  • Experience with Next.JS  

  • Experience in AWS Serverless Technologies, Lambda functions & EMR 

  • A passion for engineering, learning, and teamwork is a must! 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented languages, architecture and design principles 

  • Experienced with responsive design and multi-platform web development 

  • Solid understanding of security and best practices 

  • Any experience with ElasticSearch, Redis are a plus 

  • Familiar with Continuous Integration is a plus 

  • Experience with Page Speed Optimization/Core Web Vitals is a plus.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 74,000 USD - 113,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
