Data Analyst - Power BI

About this role:

In Gartner’s Services Service Analytics & Productivity team, we work with services teams to track and improve their productivity while they engage with Gartner’s clients. This role would entail working through large volumes of data to proactively uncover new ideas, opportunities, and strategies on the way we engage clients leading to higher client retention.  This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-impact analytics team providing a mixed exposure around automation, problem solving as well as stakeholder management thereby delivering exceptional business impact defined in terms of client retention and service team productivity

What you will do:

• Design, develop and maintain stable/scalable gold standard Business Intelligence products which requires minimal to no maintenance support (No manual intervention required)
• Partner closely with stakeholders to rationalize, understand automation requirements and clearly define what success looks like
• Create fully automated applications using PowerApp technology which can be standalone app or embedded within PowerBI
• Automation of highly leveraged manual processes/recurring activities/deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint presentation, Excel report) is an integral part of the day-to-day activities.
• Collaborate internally to maintain and implement user-focused enhancements to drive adoption for existing Business Intelligence products in the team
• Follow best practices laid down by team for Business Intelligence project including but not limited to adherence to timelines, quality, follow proper lifecycle (e.g., requirement gathering, design, development, internal/external testing, go live)
• Deliver all assignment work within quality standards and on time while managing multiple projects simultaneously

What you will need:  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of engineering
• 2+ years of professional experience with dashboards and data visualization using Power BI
• Understanding of data visualization strategies used to illustrate information and tell a story through dashboards
• Expertise with PowerBI (data ingestion, visuals, data modelling, gateway, dataflow, DataMart), Power App, Power Automate
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and suggest opportunities for existing/new PowerBI projects and find innovative solutions for new Business Intelligence challenges
• Deep understanding in writing/optimizing DAX functions and Power Query (M)
• Experience with manipulating/analysing large volumes of data and with maintaining data documentation
• Basic understanding of SQL
• A high degree of self-motivation, self-starter and keen on new technologies in BI
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - in a written, verbal and in-person context
• Basic understanding of Data Lake and Data Brick technologies and how it can be leveraged by Business Intelligence solutions (e.g., PowerBI)
