Team or Function Overview  

As a Summer Intern, you will integrate with the IT Infrastructure & Operations team, gaining hands-on experience in the areas of system management (both on-premise and cloud based assets), infrastructure support, and operational improvements. You will develop core skills around monitoring, managing, and optimizing infrastructure operations. Your experience will extend to security protocols and incident remediation as well as learning about IT automation and optimization tools.

 

Essential Duties

• Learn and apply basic principles of infrastructure design, configuration, and operations

• Assist in the monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of infrastructure performance issues

• Help develop and track metrics for infrastructure performance, uptime, and reliability

• Participate in incident management and ensure issues are resolved within SLA guidelines

• Assist in managing infrastructure assets and inventory databases for on-premise and cloud environments

• Explore automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and consistency across systems

• Collaborate on infrastructure audits for optimization, resiliency, and redundancy

• Assist in evaluating and remediating infrastructure security vulnerabilities, including patch management and system upgrades

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of infrastructure operations

• Assist in the Release and Configuration Management for deployment of Applications and related source code control management; design, implement, and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.   

• Help in the development of automated Cloud based Infrastructure service provisioning and deprovisioning (Infrastructure as a Code - IaC); monitor usage, and scaling services.

 

Under This Roof, We Require  

• Degree or pursuing degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field

• Technical aptitude with an interest in IT infrastructure and operations

• Basic understanding of core infrastructure components such as servers, storage, virtualization, and networking

 

Under This Roof, We Also Value  

• Experience with scripting (PowerShell)

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially within Azure and Google Cloud

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments

• Knowledge of network operations and performance monitoring tools

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment

• An interest in Infrastructure architecture and cloud-based technologies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
