Summary:

In our program, you will have the opportunity to own your own projects, participate in meetings, and work cross-functionally with other departments. 

GAF is looking for a Data - Intern. The ideal candidate for this role is majoring in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering. This intern will assist with the development of new subject areas into GAF's Google big query data platform using tools such as Google Cloud Platform and Tableau for visualization and user enablement.  The intern will have a great deal of opportunity to learn, contribute, and develop leadership skills.    

 

Essential Duties:

• Develop a solution for a business need using Google Cloud Platform/Tableau Desktop

• Conduct analysis on functionality and features that are of interest to the team.

• Analyze data and generate insights to support the development of new products and features.

• Present at a monthly Data Analytics meeting to a cross-function group of analysts

• Learn support processes and participate in support rotation to address user requests and incidents

• Establish how new metrics will be defined and measured, and partner with business teams to operationalize reporting

• Deliver analytics and insights that are clear and digestible to non-technical stakeholders

 

Under This Roof, We Require 

• Pursue of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0

•  Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of data organization, validation, and visualization

• Fluency in expressing analytics needs, capabilities, and outcomes

• Experience working with BI and data visualization platforms

• Ability to communicate complex information with clarity and precision
