Senior Accounting SW engineer

We are looking for a seasoned, proactive Engineer with an innovative vision and technical expertise in large complex systems to join our dynamic Data Platform R&D team in Tel Aviv. 

To join us, you must enjoy a challenge, be ready to make a significant impact, and dive deep into a Big Data platform, delivering top-tier code using cutting-edge frameworks and technologies. 

What will you do? 

You'll lead end-to-end feature development for financial data solutions, from design to production. You'll also innovate by prototyping new products within our expanding ecosystem, contribute to large-scale distributed information systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic core capability development.

Are you up for the challenge?

• 4+ years of relevant work experience with big-data technologies, such as Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Redis, Hadoop, MongoDB.
• Experience in OOP (Java / Python / C#).
• Experience with large, distributed information systems, building, and scaling data pipelines
• Strong passion for details and tackling complex tasks.
• Team player, fast learner and has a “get things done” attitude.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• Computer science degree from a leading university and/or technological intelligence units graduate

Nice to have skills:

• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience working with Spring Framework
• Financial understanding
• Experience working with Dockers
• Operational, systems, and networking knowledge

We're seeking a skilled developer with a strong architectural point of view and expert knowledge of large complex systems to join our Client Infra R&D team in Tel Aviv.

To be successful in this role, you must enjoy a challenge and be driven to make a significant impact through the design and development of robust, scalable web applications - all while rapidly delivering top-tier code using cutting-edge frameworks and technologies.

What will you do? 

You will have a crucial role in shaping FundGuard's web application architecture using modern technologies such as GraphQL, Typescript, NodeJS, and ReactJS. You will creatively solve complex problems and engage in all aspects of the front-end software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation, test design, optimization and delivery. Moreover, you will guide engineers throughout the software development lifecycle, providing mentorship through coaching, pair programming, and code review feedback.

Are you up for the challenge?

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with web technologies, specifically with React
• Expert-level proficiency in building large-scale web applications
• Experience working with systems in production
• Excellent analytical skills and a desire to solve challenging problems
• Experience defining, writing, and supporting reusable and maintainable UI components and API’s

Nice to have skills:

• Good knowledge of Typescript
• Understanding of Functional Programming paradigm and other programming concepts like immutability, pure functions, and function compositions

As a Lead Accounting Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining our investment accounting software. You will work in an agile development team to develop and deliver solutions, work with product and client success teams to ensure our product success. Key Responsibilities:

1. Coding and Development: Actively participating in coding and development tasks, often taking on more complex or critical aspects of a project.
2. Technical Leadership: Providing technical leadership to a team of software engineers, guiding them in making design and architecture decisions. 
3. Architectural Design: Participating in the architectural design and ensuring they are scalable, high performing, maintainable, and meet the business requirements.
4. Code Reviews: Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, best practices, and ensure coding standards are followed.
5. Code Maintenance: Overseeing and contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of existing codebase (Java & Python).
