Frontend Tech Lead

We offer an exciting work opportunity where you’ll develop one of the more robust enterprise applications with deep financial engines, while using cutting edge cloud technologies.

What will you be doing?

• Own new and existing features from the drawing board to robust high performance, production-grade code
• Be part of the Architectural and design minds of the team
• Work closely with our Product team to research and design new core capabilities driving the company’s strategy
• Collaborate with full-stack and infrastructure teams to design end-to-end solutions that fit seamlessly into our clients’ workflows

• Solid proficiency (7+ years) in modern Java/ C++/C#
• Financial services industry operations or software experience.
• Technical and functional knowledge of enterprise investment accounting software
• Experience developing large, scalable, distributed information systems using microservices architecture
• Mastery of high-performance, reentrant and efficient code
• Competency working with state of the art source control management and CI tools
• Computer Science degree(s) from leading institutions
• Working three-four days a week onsite in our Boston office
• Periodical travel to our office in Israel

Nice to have skills:

• Spring (boot) proficiency
• Experience with AWS frameworks such as Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, and S3
• Familiarity with “supporting” languages like Python, shell scripting
• Experience with open-source frameworks such as Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana

• Working directly on customers requirements developments - delivering production-grade code
• Work closely with our onboarding team to research and design new product capabilities supporting strategic customer relations
• Solving complex technical challenges based on customers’ use case
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to design end-to-end solutions that fit seamlessly into our core system

• Solid proficiency (3+ years) in modern Java with Spring
• Financial services industry operations or software experience.
• Technical and functional knowledge of enterprise investment accounting software
• Experience developing large, scalable, distributed information systems using microservices architecture

• Competency working with state of the art source control management and CI tools
• Computer Science degree(s) from leading institutions
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Working three-four days a week onsite in our Boston office

• Own new and existing features, all the way from design, implementation, and testing to production for financial data solutions.
• Prototyping ideas and building new products on top of our growing ecosystem of services and libraries.
• Work in large distributed information systems, building, and scaling data pipelines using a microservices architecture.

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with big-data technologies, such as Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Redis, Hadoop, MongoDB.
• Experience in OOP (Java / Python / C#).
• Experience with large distributed information systems, building, and scaling data pipelines
• Strong passion for details and tackling complex tasks.
• Leader, team player, fast learner and has a “get things done” attitude.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• Computer science degree from a leading university or/and technological intelligence units graduate.

Nice to have skills: 

• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Spring Framework.
• Financial understanding.
• Experience working with Dockers.
• Operational, systems, and networking knowledge.

 What will you be doing?

• Drive the evolution of FundGuard’s web application architecture and technology
• Use a modern stack: GraphQL, Typescript, NodeJS, ReactJS, and more
• Tackle tough problems and find creative ways to solve them
• Participate and affect all aspects of the FE software development lifecycle including architecture, design, implementation, test design, test implementation, optimization, and delivery
• Mentor engineers through coaching, consultation, pair programming and code review feedback

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with web technologies, specifically with React
• Expert-level proficiency building large-scale web applications
• Experience working with systems in production
• Excellent analytical skills and a desire to solve challenging problems
• Experience defining, writing and supporting reusable and maintainable UI components and API’s.

Nice to have skills:

• Good knowledge of Typescript
• Understanding of Functional Programming paradigm and other programming concepts like immutability, pure functions, and function compositions
• Experience building in-house design system
• Knowledge and interest in financial markets
