We are seeking both Junior and Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Engineers who are keen to contribute to our mission and grow within our team.

Role Overview:


The Full-Stack Web Engineer will be responsible for developing Freetrade’s web application, with a focus on Next.js and Apollo GraphQL Federation API integration. This position suits candidates at the Entry to Mid Level who are prepared to contribute significantly at both the individual and team levels, engaging closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the design and implementation of system components or features, taking into consideration team objectives and engineering standards.
  • Operate independently on projects where technical direction is required, offering recommendations and facilitating consensus across teams.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, imparting expertise in specialised technologies or practices.
  • Facilitate collaboration within the team to realise feature-level goals and effectively communicate with stakeholders regarding delivery expectations and priorities.

The application process consists of a 5 stage process. You will initially have a quick interview with one of our internal Talent Specialists and after that meeting the Hiring Manager for the role.  Followed by a Live Coding and a System Design Interview. Closing the process with a Culture Values and Executive Interview with our Founders (CEO and COO) to check on your culture fit.
