We're seeking a dynamic, client-focused Azure Data Architect to enrich our team by devising innovative and scalable data solutions leveraging Azure technologies. If you're passionate about driving business outcomes with your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Role Overview:

We seek a proficient Azure Data Architect with a focus on data movement in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will exhibit a comprehensive understanding of Data Lake concepts, demonstrating proficiency in data modeling within Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and hands-on experience with Databricks, including Autoloader and Cluster Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure services for efficient data movement and storage within Data Lake.

• Provide architectural guidance, focusing on the design discussions around data lake and data modeling to ensure alignment with project objectives.

• Lead and drive projects independently, ensuring effective ownership and progression of work.

• Facilitate technical solutions and communication between clients and engineering teams.

• Demonstrate knowledge in real-time data processing technologies like Kafka and MuleSoft, emphasizing architectural insights rather than hands-on implementation.

• Deep understanding of Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Event Hubs, and REST API principles.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in technical design, including data models, ETLs, and analytical solutions.

• Proven ability to deploy dashboards and self-service analytics on both relational and non-relational databases.

• Familiarity with dbt core or dbt cloud and experience across various database computing paradigms (In-Memory, Distributed, MPP).

• Track record of leading large-scale data management projects using Agile methodologies through planning, design, build, and deployment phases.

• Expertise in continuous integration, static code analysis, and test-driven development.

• Experience with change management focused on enhancing enterprise-wide adoption of data platform.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging across internal and external organizations

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $105,000 - $160,000 In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.  You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.  In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.   The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
