 The private markets are made up of private networks. Funds are the fulcrum point of these networks and the constellation of investors, companies and service providers connect to bring the fund strategy to life. Today, these funds run largely on tedious paperwork, fragmented data and highly manual processes. Flow is uniquely positioned to modernize these networks by being an open platform to create efficient flows across funds. In doing so, Flow is removing the constraints in today’s private markets and further empowering the ideas that shape the economy. 

About You

Flow is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to work within our innovative and diverse platform team.  You are either right out of school or early in your career (1-2 years experience).  You have hands-on experience creating and maintaining front and back end code for the web.  You are curious and eager to learn new technologies and skills.

You are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and are interested in a hybrid role that will bring you into our office 2-3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver high quality code for new features and systems.
• Develop front end website architecture.
• Develop back end website applications.
• Interact with databases and data structures to maintain or improve functionality.
• Work with both internal and external APIs in an efficient and consistent manner.
• Contribute t Rails web service APIs, data structures and business logic.
• Collaborate with the Product & Design teams to appropriately scope and schedule deliverables.
• Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Requirements

• <1 year hands on experience doing back and front end development work.
• Computer Science degree.
• Working knowledge of multiple back-end languages (like Rails, Node.js and Python) and JavaScript frameworks (like Angular, React).
• Working knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (like HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
• Familiarity  with databases (like MySQL, Postgresql and MongoDB), and UI/UX design.
• Experience with testing and debugging.
• An eye for layout aesthetics.
• Strong analytical ability .
• Great communication and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity about new technologies and an excitement to find ways to implement them..
• Big appetite to learn and improve your skills.
• Must be able to work from our office in San Francisco 2-3 days per week.
