About the team

Payrix is a modern platform that provides Payments Facilitation (PayFac) as a service with a full suite of payments and risk management services built for vertical Saas companies. With Payrix, Saas providers can embed payments and financial services in their native experience and add a new revenue stream in a few weeks. Location: EST zone preferred.
 

What you will be doing:

·       Ingesting and managing data in AWS-based data stores including S3, Glue, Athena etc.

·       Interfacing with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies

·       Collaborate with portal, operations, risk and finance teams to recognize and help adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity/quality, pipelines analysis, validation, and documentation

·       Help continually improve ongoing data ingestion, engineering, reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for our partners

·       Mentor fellow team members
 

What you bring:

  • Expertise in python (Spark) based ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.

  • 8+ years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Experience designing and implementing with the AWS big data platform.

    • AWS S3, Glue, Athena, QuickSight, Lambda

    • AWS CLI, SDK, IAM

  • Expertise with schema design and data modeling.

  • Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

  • Some ML experience.

  • Familiarity working with either Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Presto, Map Reduce or an MPP system.

  • Good communication skills

  • Highly motivated and open-minded with an attitude of learning and solving tough tech problems. 

  • A team player and a problem solver with a positive mindset

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $167,780.00 - $281,870.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
