Cloud Support Engineer

This role will be part of Technical Solution Architecture group within FIS Capital Markets, and will be responsible to work with business and technical teams to design and implement solutions for our clients.

What you will be doing:

• Document and publish technical solution architecture for different FIS solutions, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks.
• Collaborate with various teams and contribute towards releasing recurring services offering by:
  • Defines, constructs, supports, and provides training for standard deployment models for FIS solutions.
  • Providing inputs on the architecture, operational model, and cost in production.
  • Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, Infrastructure, and other technical teams to onboard new clients into FIS hosted solutions.
  • Acts as tie breaker on design decisions.
• Communicates system architecture to technical and business audiences.
• Be a subject matter expert and assist sales & presales with client facing discussions regarding technical architecture of solutions you have designed.

What you will need:

• Demonstrated understanding of public cloud infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS), applications, deployment models.
• Working knowledge on developing solution architecture for large enterprises while partnering with Enterprise Architects, Business Architects and Application Architects.  
• Working knowledge on design solutions using open-source technologies for containers, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Helm, and Kafka.
• Working knowledge on distributed and heterogeneous computing environment.
• Knowledge in one or more programming languages.
• Good communication skills, fluent in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge on Identity & Access Management (IAM) on architecture strategies for migration to modern authentication.
• Knowledge on IaC tools such as Terraform, and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory.
• Understanding of relational and NOSQL databases. (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Couchbase, etc.)
• Understanding of cloud native technologies
• Understanding of Network, Storage and associated operating systems, associated private cloud and multi-tenant compute also hybrid VDC solutions.
