About the role:
As a Business Process Engineer Lead, you will partner with cross-functional teams, in the application of process engineering principles to design/optimize business processes and their overall performance. Process engineers bring an agile mindset to streamline existing processes through simplification, standardization and automation. Supported by cross functional team members and SMEs in the business and technology, these individuals collectively own process transformation.
What you will be doing:
Leads process improvement projects that deliver measurable cost savings, improved quality, and increased efficiency.
Serves as a technical leader in the application of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, basic problem solving).
Identify and analyze process improvement opportunities, determining the appropriate method for how these opportunities should be addressed.
Drive the prioritization, design, and implementation of improvement initiatives in partnership with Development, Managed Services and Operations teams.
Validate the cost versus benefit of change and hold the Operations teams accountable to deliver the savings upon completion of an initiative.
Champion a continuous improvement / business process reengineering mindset across the organization.
What you will need:
10 years of professional business experience with 4 years of specific, business process reengineering experience.
Strong, proven experience with leadership, business acumen, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Expert-level ability to influence and affect change at all levels of the organization without direct lines of authority.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences.
Solid track record in leading cross-functional teams and projects that successfully delivers results.
Have a strong grasp of operational process, quantify the value of improvements, and remove roadblocks during development and implementation.
Green Belt certification (one which required successful implementation of a process related project that solved a business problem/improved business performance); or ability to obtain within 6-months of being in the position.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM field
Added bonus if you have:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from a reputable institution.
Agile working knowledge and relevant certification (e.g. SAFe Agilist, Practice Consultant, Practitioner)
Business Process Management (BPM) knowledge and experience with implementation
Experience with use of Process Mining software to identify improvement opportunities.
Experience with improvement initiatives that require technological solutions (automation, RPA, bots, AI).
