SUMMARY

Firefly Spacecraft GSW Engineers design and develop intuitive and performant user interfaces, leveraging time-series databases to test and interface to space vehicles in real time. As part of the team, your efforts will directly support our Blue Ghost Mission 1 lander that will be delivering 10 NASA payloads to the moon as part of our CLPS contract. You will work in small collaborative groups through all stages of the development process, and support test, simulation, and live operations. Come onboard and make history.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and test user interfaces for Firefly�s space vehicles
• Lead and take charge of full life-cycle development spanning ground test equipment to operations on the lunar surface
• Perform software and hardware-in-the-loop simulations to validate all ground software requirements and functions are validated
• Create modern and unique command and control software interfaces for the next generation of lunar landers
• Manage mission databases and data distribution
• Work with mission operations to ensure mission operations center support successful mission operations for payload and lander subsystems
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate project workloads and effectively delegate tasks to junior engineering staff, ensuring optimal resource allocation and project progression.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor�s degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field with 2+ years� related work experience
• Proficiency using Python
• Experience with full stack development using (HTML, CSS, Javascript, NodeJS)
• Experience developing and debugging web-based charts, graphs, and dashboards
• Familiarity with source code configuration management and version control concepts
• Familiarity with database management and data visualization
• Outstanding energy, initiative, and the ability to work well with other team members
• Ability to work harmoniously in a high-performance team at a space vehicle start-up environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple functional groups across multiple sites

Desired

• Experience using InfluxDB
• Experience using Grafana and setting up Grafana dashboards
• Experience with ASI MAX GDS
• Experience using PostgreSQL, or SQL in general
• Experience using web frameworks
• Experience with F Prime or similar embedded system development framework
• Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite Confluence, JIRA, and Bitbucket
• Experience with AWS
• Familiarity with Server Partition and Virtual Machines
