SUMMARY

Firefly Spacecraft Full Stack Developers design and develop intuitive and performant user interfaces, leveraging time-series databases to test and interface to space vehicles in real time. As part of the team, your efforts will directly support our Blue Ghost Mission 1 lander that will be delivering 10 NASA payloads to the moon as part of our CLPS contract. You will work in small collaborative groups through all stages of the development process, and support test, simulation, and live operations. Come onboard and make history.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and test user interfaces for Firefly�s next generation of spacecrafts and lunar landers
• Participate in full life-cycle development spanning ground test servers to operations on the lunar surface
• Write and perform unit testing on any mission software updates and releases
• Perform software and hardware-in-the-loop simulations to validate all ground software requirements and functions
• Assist with QA workflow including regression testing and performance testing for mission software
• Maintain ground software databases and data distribution pipelines
• Work with mission operations to ensure mission success for payload and spacecraft subsystems

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field with 2+ years� related work experience
• Proficiency using Python and/or Javascript
• Familiarity with source code configuration management and version control concepts such as Git
• Familiarity with database management and data visualization
• Outstanding energy, initiative, and the ability to work well with other team members
• Ability to work harmoniously in a high-performance team at a space vehicle start-up environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple functional groups across multiple sites

Desired

• Experience with full stack development using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and NodeJS
• Experience developing and debugging web-based charts, graphs, and dashboards
• Experience using time series databases like InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, and QuestDB
• Experience with DevSecOps tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, TeamCity, and CodeSonar
• Experience using data visualization and setting up dashboards like Grafana, Plotly, SciChart.js, and Streamlit
• Experience using PostgreSQL, or any other SQL frameworks
• Experience using web frameworks like React, Next.js, and Vue.js
• Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite Confluence, JIRA, and Bitbucket
• Familiarity with Server Partition, Virtual Machines, and containerization
• Experience using linux OS systems like Ubuntu and Redhat
