Designs, develops, and maintains platforms using Java, Spring, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Delivers functional software from start to finish using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools -- GitOps, Maven, Jenkins, and uDeploy. Designs application-level architecture. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. Coordinates software system installation and monitors its functions to ensure specifications are met.   Develops software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation. Performs unit and integration testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Modifies software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within constraints.
• Performs post-installation testing to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing financial services applications.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing financial services applications.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing Java RESTful services and middle-tier, multi-threaded applications according to Agile methodologies, using Java, Spring, and Hibernate
• framework; performing application build, deployment, and support using CI tools -- Jenkins and Maven; performing configuration management using Git Stash; and performing Test Driven Development (TDD), using Unit/JUnit testing techniques, Veracode, uDeploy, and SONAR.
• DE creating test automation via distributed application development using middleware technologies -- REST, Web Services, JAVA, and Spring.
• DE writing clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code; deploying chat and e-mail applications to AWS; scheduling ETL Batch processes on a daily or weekly basis and transferring data between databases; and hosting and running Genesys tools using Tomcat.
• DE developing GitOps mechanism to configure financial services applications for build and deployment into Kubernetes Containers using configurable YAML, Terraform, Helm Charts, and Argo; monitoring application logging; building dashboards and alerts based on logs for monitoring and notifications using Fluent Bit, Datadog, Kibana, and Splunk.
