The Team

At Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations Technology (FFIO), we support trade processing, trade settlements, corporate actions, income collection, cash management, cash and position reconciliations, securities lending, and transfer agent control and reconciliation. Our team supports specifically capture and deliver of financial messages along with money movement to/from internal clients and the custodian banks/counter parties.

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who will develop and improve software applications using Java, Spring and Oracle using the agile methodology!
 

The Expertise You Have

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject area.
• 9+ years of development experience (currently hands on) in Java, Spring MVC / Spring Core / Web Services (SOAP/REST) and configuring web containers.
• Proven experience in software engineering especially in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
• Working experience in Test/Behavior Driven Development (TDD/BDD)
• DevOps/CICD experience (Jenkins, uDeploy, GIT) is preferred.
• Experience with IBM MQ and hands on experience in Linux is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
• Experience with Swift or other money movement systems in a Mutual Fund/Banking Industry including knowledge of policies and procedures around those functions.
• Engages senior management on technical strategy, risk assessment, and risk management for projects.
• Mentors junior team members.

Fidelity’s working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
