Job Title – Principal - Data Science

Principal Data Scientist with 10 years of Industry experience

Agile Data Scientist with exposure to Financial Services domain.

The Purpose of This Role

To be a part of high performing agile scrum team to deliver efficient and innovative technology solutions for Fidelity Capital Markets business. The role involves supporting our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. The ideal candidate is adaptive at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. our working closely with business.

• Working closely with our business and technology partners and delivering solutions having direct revenue impact and helping operations team achieve efficiency and operational excellence.

• Designing and implementing technology solutions for the Capital Markets business

• Working closely with the business function owners in focused scrum team. This would involve working independently to deliver solutions in an agile manner and providing support for the solutions delivered.

The Skills that are Key to this role

• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

• Mine and analyze data from company databases or vendor data to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.

• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation and other business outcomes.

• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.

• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Technical / Behavioral

• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

• 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in statistical computer languages such as  Python & SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

• Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.  Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights

• Good to have Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

• Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis etc.

• Hands-on experience on Unix/Linux

• Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using Tableau or Power BI etc.

•  Knowledge of cloud and micro-service architecture would be plus and deploying the model to any cloud technology

• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques

• Good communication skills

• Team player

• Knowledge of Capital Markets and Prime Brokerage domains

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of IT Experience with 2-4+ years of relevant experience in Data Science related field
  Or

• 4-5+ years of Data Science/Analytics experience

• Engineering Graduate/CS graduate/MCA equivalent

• PG Degree in Data Science or Analytics field would be an added advantage.

Location : Bangalore

Shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00pm
