The Engineering (Tech) Team is responsible for all Feedzai product development. Together with Product Management and Data Science, we build the next generation of tools to catch fraud in real-time with a machine learning first approach. While building the best value for our customers, you will work with a wide range of technical challenges. Such as building distributed systems that need to operate 24/7 and ultra-low latencies, solving UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts to fight fraud more efficiently. In addition, designing extensive databases from relational, NoSQL and graphs, validate and develop new data science techniques and algorithms.
You:
This person is a seasoned DevOps Engineer, someone that has a strong developer background delivering code into production, has designed and built the framework(s) to support Continuous Delivery and has operated applications in production. The frameworks built by this person have been used by other teams to improve their development experience, and he/she had to support its adoption to be successful. We're looking for someone that has performed a Tech Lead role in areas/teams like Developer Experience and/or Platform.
Your Day to Day:
- Help Feedzai automate every step from development to production.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle of production-ready features.
- Develop internal tooling to improve the developer experience.
- Identify requirements and design architectures
- Create and detail plans for implementation
- Take data driven decisions
- Spread good DevOps practices and guidelines.
- Engage in recruiting activities that allow Feedzai to draw top talent.
You Have and You Know-how:
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical degree (required).
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, best practices and tooling, including hands-on experience creating and maintaining productive and non-productive environments managed by Kubernetes.
- Critical mindset and autonomy: as a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be a key player in the engineering teams’ efficiency. You are proactive and hands-on. You value automation, simplicity and thrive in a high-performance, metrics-driven company.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: you can develop tested, production-ready code and are able to translate that knowledge to other programming languages and paradigms.
- You’re empathetic and a good communicator. You’ll need to understand the struggles other engineers go through in order to solve the right problems.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines. The pipelines you design are aligned with DevOps best practices. You have hands-on experience developing pipelines-as-code in Jenkins or a similar automation tool.
- Experience with a public cloud provider. The particular vendor doesn’t matter, but you’re comfortable with networking, DNS, load balancing and security in public clouds. You’re also familiar with the typical resiliency and scalability patterns for cloud applications.
- Experience with mission-critical applications. You are familiar with SLOs, zero-downtime deployments, monitoring and log aggregation frameworks.
