Senior Software Engineer - Security Products

Please note: You MUST CURRENTLY reside in North America to be considered for this position 

The Security Products group is responsible for developing a range of security related products at Fastly. As a part of this group, you will be working with technology brought in through the acquisition of Signal Sciences, specifically the API used by both developers and the Signal Sciences UI. The stack is written in Go (Golang), connecting to MongoDB. You will collaborate across product and engineering teams as you guide and develop the next phase of the API, including expanded integration between Signal Sciences and Fastly.

What You'll Do

• Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements
• Coordinate and communicate seamlessly with the team members and across other technical and product teams
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation and other team processes
• Code optimization and performance tuning
• Improve, expand, and automate our testing frameworks so problems are surfaced faster

What We're Looking For

• You have production experience in designing, building, and maintaining public facing APIs including working with various aspects of API Authentication and Authorization such as SAML, RBAC, OAuth or JWT
• You MUST have at least 2 years of experience primarily coding in Go to be successful in this role
• JavaScript is a must
• Strong skills with software testing
• Understanding of what makes valuable observability with metrics, logging and tracing
• Experience working in a collaborative, distributed team environment
• Knowledge of HTTP and related networking protocols

The estimated salary range for this position is $132,060 to $194,210.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
