Job Description

Experian Clarity is looking for a Systems Engineer that has a strong Linux background and has worked in a Cisco and Windows environment, but who is eager to get their hands AWS. We are a small infrastructure team in a cross functional support environment, so we need someone who will embrace all technologies. If you have the Linux background, with some experience in Cisco and Windows and a desire to work in the Cloud, then we really want to speak with you.

Experian Clarity is the leading source of alternative credit data in the subprime lending industry. By leveraging alternative data, our market-savvy data analysts are discovering trends and providing our clients innovative solutions for fraud, banking information, credit, compliance, prospecting and portfolio management. 

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining the infrastructure team, supporting both production and back-office environments. You’ll be responsible for systems operations administration and management. You will also be responsible for maintenance of all monitoring and data protection systems, networking equipment integration, and support duties for all relevant technologies and its end-users. Additional responsibilities include:

• Through prescribed best practices, manage and maintain high availability of all systems relevant to customers, both internal and external.
• Ensure the integrity of the entire infrastructure by maintaining a proactive security posture against potential threats, working with security teams to patch and replace any elements deemed necessary by internal or 3rd party risk assessment.
• Conduct moderately complex projects or phases of significant projects; coordinate the efforts of external group and vendors in the performance of assigned projects.
• Ability to take on-call responsibilities to remediate after hours issues and as needed, supporting users as an escalation for complex networking/application issues.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Linux Administration (RPM-based systems such as Amazon Linux preferred)
• 4 to 7 years of experience in systems engineering, information technology operations support, or in a similar field supporting technology infrastructure. 
• Cisco Network Device Administration (FTD physical and virtual hardware)
• Microsoft Windows Server Administration (2016 and newer)
• Database exposure
