We're looking for a software engineer to join our Rapid team. As a Software Development Engineer I, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative solutions to our partners’ needs.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with fellow team members to deliver valuable, maintainable software that meets customer needs.

• Ensure all software meets the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.

• Leverage CI/CD techniques and tools to maximize delivery speed and reliability.

• Ensure code quality and reliability through unit, functional, and performance testing.

• Identify improvement areas by analyzing performance metrics, including (but not limited to) response times, errors, CPU/memory usage, and cache efficiency.

• Actively contribute to our team's identity, having fun together and adopting change.

Who you are:

• You have experience in software design, development, and maintenance.

• You are familiar with Java-based web service development.

• You are willing to take on challenging problems. 

• You own your mistakes and see them as learning opportunities.

• You have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• You are familiar with agile software development principles.

• You have excellent communication skills.

• You enjoy working on a self-organizing, cross functional team.

The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $73,000.00 to $102,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $117,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
