EquipmentShare is searching for a Windows System Engineer Team Lead for our Columbia, MO office to support our team as it continues to grow.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Windows System Administrators focused on supporting manufacturing systems.
  • Plan and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based systems used in the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure the security of Windows systems and implement appropriate security measures.
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they become problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all systems are integrated effectively.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to Windows systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of system upgrades and migrations.
  • Monitor system backups and disaster recovery processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies related to Windows systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Manage team workload and assign tasks based on skills and availability.
  • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the team.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Windows System Administrator.
  • 2+ years of experience in a team leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Amazon Cloud
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, such as MES, SCADA, or ERP.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, etc.
