Description

EquipmentShare is Hiring an Integrations Engineer - Enterprise Tech

At EquipmentShare, we believe it’s more than just a job. We invest in our people and encourage you to choose the best path for your career. It’s about you, your future, and where you want to go.

We seek an Integrations Engineer to serve our Enterprise Technology teams.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of the Enterprise Technology Integrations team, which encompasses Financial Systems (ERP), Human Resource Systems (HRIS), and Information Systems (IT). You’ll be serving this large, close-knit team in developing custom solutions. You will be helping in the integration of semi-disparate systems, whether internally developed or 3rd party business applications (including, but not limited to, multiple ERPs, IT, and HRIS platforms).

Our team advises on, implements, maintains, and integrates core and secondary business systems for day-to-day operations. We work heavily across departments with corporate leadership and product owners, evaluating departments' functional needs and pain points. From there, we advise on options, whether via expanding current systems, developing new processes, or utilizing and integrating third-party platforms.

We'll be there to support you as you become familiar with our teams, product domains, tech stack, and processes — generally, how we all work together.

As an Integrations Engineer - Enterprise Tech, you will

  • Design and architect end-to-end integration solutions that connect disparate systems and platforms, ensuring data consistency and integrity. Develop custom integration components and connectors using industry-standard technologies and APIs.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed integration solutions, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and integrity.  Use SQL and Python to extract data from various sources and transform it according to business rules.
  • Work closely with internal clients to understand their business processes and integration needs.
  • Write technical documents.

Who you are

You're a hands-on integrations engineer who gets stuck in; you enjoy solving complex problems and building impactful solutions.  Most importantly, you care about making a difference.

  • Take the initiative to own outcomes from start to finish — knowing what needs to be accomplished within your domain and how we work together to deliver the best solution.
  • You’ll see the learning opportunity when things don’t quite go to plan — not only for you, but for how we continuously improve as a team.
  • You take a hypothesis-driven approach — knowing how to source, create and leverage data to inform decision making, using data to drive how we improve, to shape how we evaluate and make platform recommendations.

So, what is important to us?

Above all, you’ll get stuff done.  More importantly, you’ll collaborate to do the right things, in the right way to achieve the right outcomes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in systems integration, data integration, and middleware development, with a strong understanding of integration concepts, architectures, and technologies.
  • 2+ years of Python experience in developing and implementing integration solutions and connectors.
  • 3+ years of SQL experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and comfort utilizing the output of SQL statements in Python.
  • 3+ years of relevant usage of web services, APIs (REST, SOAP), and data formats (JSON, XML).
  • Practical experience with public cloud service platforms (AWS / Azure / Google).
  • Experience with deploying and scheduling on AWS Batch and Jenkins.
  • Experience working git
  • Experience building observability and monitoring into applications.

Ideally, some of the things that would be nice to have, but not required are:

  • Experience with authentication and/or identity management (Auth0 or Okta).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and container applications platforms like Docker for your production services.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and tools like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Apache Camel.
  • Business analytics, financial systems, or accounting experience are a plus!

Why We're a Better Place to Work

  • Competitive salary.
  • Medical, Dental and Vision coverage for full-time employees.
  • 401(k) and company match.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) plus company paid holidays.
  • Stocked breakroom and full kitchen, chef prepared meals daily (breakfast and lunch).
  • State of the art onsite gym (Corporate HQ) with instructor led-courses/Gym stipend for remote employees.
  • Seasonal and year round wellness challenges.
  • Company sponsored events (annual family gatherings, happy hours and more).
  • Volunteering and local charity initiatives that help you nurture and grow the communities you call home. Employees receive 16 hours of paid volunteer time per year.
  • Opportunities for career and professional development with conferences, events, seminars and continued education.
