What You'll Do

Epic Games is seeking a Technical Lead for our Client Platform Engineering team, a pivotal role aimed at mentoring an innovative team and serving as a technical expert. In this capacity, you will oversee the development and maintenance of sophisticated code-based tooling designed to secure and manage our endpoint fleet across multiple OS platforms and diverse hardware types.

In this role, you will

  • Design and implement technical solutions for managing our endpoint fleet across various OS platforms and hardware, ensuring these solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient
  • Collaborate closely with management and stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable technical strategies, focusing on the enhancement of security, reliability, compliance, and automation of our endpoint fleet
  • Lead by example in DevOps best practices, advocating for and implementing best practices in code quality, CI/CD workflows, and automation
  • Serve as the technical lead within the team on CPE tools, providing guidance and mentorship to engineers, facilitating knowledge sharing and problem-solving

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience with MacOS & Windows environments, using code-based endpoint management tools (like NanoMDM, Munki, Puppet, Chocolatey)
  • Strong coding skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Go)
  • Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure within AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud environments, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • In-depth understanding of CI/CD workflows, automation frameworks, and best practices
  • Experience developing and enforcing policies to secure IT assets and data
  • Excellent skills in explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and working effectively across teams

Nice to haves

  • Active engagement with open-source projects or technology communities, showing a commitment to collective growth and innovation.
  • Solid experience in managing Enterprise Linux environments
  • Technical understanding of mobile management & engineering (iOS & Android)

This role is open to multiple locations (including CA & WA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
