Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Emplifi, you will lead change with data. You will influence organization and product decisions by crunching the numbers. You'll deep-dive into social media landscapes, uncovering valuable trends and patterns that will be showcased in global publications. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring client satisfaction by delivering on-demand data exports.

Joining Emplifi's Data Analytics Team (DAT), you'll have the opportunity to cultivate your analytical skills while mastering in-demand technologies such as Python, Databricks, PySpark, S3, or Airflow. You'll immerse yourself in an ever-expanding Data Lake, navigating through terabytes of data to extract meaningful insights. All of this in a flexible and hybrid SCRUM environment, providing you with the space and support to thrive in your role.

What You'll Do Here:

• On-Demand Analysis: You will support our stakeholders, including Management, Marketing, Sales, Product, and beyond. Your expertise will be in high demand whether you support Management with up-to-the-minute product usage trends, assist the Marketing team in mining the latest TikTok data insights, or ensure client satisfaction through ad-hoc data exports.

• Self-reliant Insights Excavation: You will work autonomously, using your expertise to generate valuable insights. Your role involves establishing the right expectations, mining data sources, conducting a thorough analysis, and articulating actionable recommendations to our stakeholders.

• Recurring Report/Product Pipelines: You will be challenged to automate processes for report creation (ETLs). Your ultimate goal will be to deliver polished, reliable, and accurate products, such as standardized reports and visuals, ready for immediate use.

• Going Beyond Analytics: Get ready to dive into complex problems that require going beyond traditional analytical strategies and exploring the realm of data science. Are you prepared to help us understand how to make our products stickier? How to accurately measure risk?

What You'll Bring to Us:

Soft Skills:

• Fluent in spoken and written English, you can support other data teams in the company and help other non-data departments form and test their hypotheses using Emplifi's data.
• You are proactive and can come up with new ideas on how to bring value to our stakeholders through automation and leveraging LLM tools such as ChatGPT.
• You have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• You know how to prioritize and manage deadlines.
• You are motivated to work in an Agile environment.
• You own your outcome.

Hard Skills:

• You must have strong analytical skills. Be aware that basic statistical knowledge, including descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (e.g., Bootstrapping), is a must.
• You should have practical experience using Python, particularly in automating report generation. Think of libraries such as Pandas, or NumPy.
• You are confident in querying Databases using SQL. Knowing PySpark and proficiency with APIs is a big plus.
• Understanding the fundamentals of machine learning, such as regression and classification, is a big plus. E.g., familiarity with techniques like K-means clustering or logistic regression.
• You have some prior experience with GitHub.
• You are interested in learning other data management technologies such as Airflow, Databricks, Querybook, Omni Studio Vision, or Grafana.
