Core Infrastructure Team
We're the backbone supporting Eightfold's platform, handling everything from Search, Databases, Machine Learning Infrastructure to Developer and Application Platforms.

What you will do (or learn to do)
  • Design, build, and launch robust security solutions that enhance the security posture of Eightfold's production infrastructure, ensuring a secure environment for both Eightfold applications and data.
  • Act as a technical authority on security, providing expertise and guidance on security topics to internal teams, prospects, and customers.
  • Collaborate with prospects and customers on security assessments, ensuring their security concerns are addressed.
  • Engage with auditors to demonstrate the security measures in place and work on continuous improvement of the infrastructure security.
  • Partner with product engineering teams to foster a culture of security awareness and ensure the secure development of software across the board.

What you should already know
  • Solid engineering fundamentals with a hands-on approach to tackling issues.
  • 3-8 years of experience writing secure and scalable code.
  • Comprehensive systems knowledge encompassing networking, compute, and storage concepts.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS, and experience building SaaS applications.
  • Passion for security topics and understanding how it can drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with recognized security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS benchmarks, and DISA STIG.

Good to have
  • Certifications like OSCP, or equivalent are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools, incident response protocols, and forensic analysis.
  • Knowledge of threat modeling and risk assessment techniques.
  • Previous experience in conducting internal and external penetration testing.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory compliance including GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar.
  • Active involvement in the security community, such as publications, open-source projects, or speaking engagements at security conferences.
