Job Description

eBay Payments China team plays critical roles on whole eBay’s versatile business. The team is building the platform to support various areas including creating next-generation of checkout/payments experience, collecting seller fees and many others. The mission of team is to build world-class payment platform to delight our customers and enable eBay’s growing business in a connected commerce world.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain algorithms for eBay payments systems. 
• Utilize Generative AI and other ML modeling techniques to improve the payments systems.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to payments.
• Active contributor on development of complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. 
• Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and rollout system changes. 

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. 
• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms and data structures.
• Passions & proven experience in AI and other algorithm development, machine learning, and data mining.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Scala.
• Familiar with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good English communication skills.
