About the team and the role:

You would be joining the Seller Experience organization within eBay, which is at the heart of the overall eBay marketplace. The Seller Experience team focuses on end-to-end digital experiences for our sellers, making it easy to list, sell, and grow a thriving business with eBay. Our Sellers are at the center of everything we do, and our product, engineering, and design teams obsess over building outstanding experiences that our eBay community loves. 

As a Senior Product Manager on our Data Platforms team, you will be building out an extraordinary Machine Learning and data infrastructure to deliver high priority seller solutions, such as sales analytics, market research, growth recommendations, price guidance and much more. Candidates with experience with Machine Learning and Data Science backgrounds are preferred.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, with a dedicated team of engineers and data scientists and report directly to the Director of Product. Our team values center around collaboration, acting with urgency, connecting with customers, working with integrity and having fun! 

 

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead the development of ML seller recommendations and prioritization, to drive marketplace sales growth and seller retention

  • Work closely with the Lead Product Manager on the development of the eBay Seller recommendation system, that will power all seller facing recommendations across web, mobile and email

  • Lead the development of the data structure system that will enhance seller analytics visualizations and comparisons on web and mobile

  • Be accountable for the articulation and the execution of the product strategy. Communicate team status and priorities to executives, partner teams, and the wider product team

  • Break Down Silos & Enable Strong Collaboration. Create connections and processes across teams that will drive efficient cross-team collaboration and clear alignment

 

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years of strong product management experience in building products with deep expertise in customer focused product management and product development lifecycle. Experience with online marketplaces and eCommerce platforms preferred

  • Technical depth and proven experience with building engaging, customer-focused end-to-end UX experiences; designing elegant solutions to sophisticated problems that require integrations with multiple platforms, domains and services; and driving analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and metrics to derive opportunities, gaps, and solutions

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills. Experience working with matrixed teams in a global context to successful delivery and excellence 

  • Strong analytical abilities with a successful track record and specific examples of launching products with measurable impact. 

  • Deep understanding of the product lifecycle from planning through deployment; experience using test and validation frameworks. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams is desirable

  • Effective story-teller; experience using both analytics and qualitative research to express the vision and strategy
