What you’ll do
As a Senior Resident Engineer, you will manage and oversee the firm’s resident engineers and serve as our clients’ prime point of contact to help the firm advance construction projects. We should mention that the workweek will exceed 40 hours, especially during construction season. You will also: 
  • Plan, budget, organize and coordinate activities to ensure effective project management.
  • Oversee construction to ensure design documentation is accurately implemented and contract requirements are followed. 
  • Have substantial knowledge and expertise with engineering designs, drawing creation, sample collection and construction observation.
  • Interpret complex drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Establish and enforce effective quality control procedures.
  • Manage software systems.
  • Promote a team environment.
  • Maintain field and office equipment.
  • Develop leadership skills that build autonomy.
What it takes
Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience, especially in design, site supervision and construction of pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants. A favored candidate will also:
  • Be a team player, working across departments to support firm goals.
  • Speak and write well.
  • Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
