About the Role
You’ll bring your technical experience to design, build and launch a new Fixed Income product. You will be involved in all aspects of product execution from strategy and architecture to QA and release. You’ll work closely with your product manager to identify and prioritize opportunities to provide bonds and other fixed income instruments to retail investors around the world; design innovative solutions to modernize the trading experience; and work cross-functionally to deliver scalable capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for assisting the technical design and delivery of new projects and applications
- Develop enhancements to existing applications
- Develop, write, test and maintain code for new and existing applications
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist in bug fixes
- Assist in recommending and facilitating product maintenance as well as new features
- Work integrating with other financial vendors and 3rd parties
- Work in an agile environment through all Software Development Lifecycle processes
- Collaborate with other internal engineering departments to deliver a new feature
What You'll Need
- 3-5 years of experience in software development and architecture
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- An understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Proficient in one programming language (especially Java or GoLang)
- Must understand how to write effective unit/integration tests
- Experience with NoSQL and SQL database environments
- Experience with a 24x7, highly-available architecture
- Active development experience in a cloud based microservices environment
- Passionate about rigorous engineering practices and discipline: code reviews, automated testing, logging, monitoring, alerting etc.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of devOps and other app deployment practices
Bonus Points (Nice To Have, But Not Required)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Experience with Linux and writing scripts to extract and transform data
- Proficiency with high performance java development
- Experience with Java 8+ coding standards and best practices for application development
- Experience with Maven and/or Gradle
- Experience with active development in GoLang
- Prior experience in fin-tech, e-commerce, or analytics companies
- Experience in the delivery of financial backend software systems
- Understanding of message queuing technologies like ActiveMQ and Kafka
- Experience with Redis or similar caching technologies
- Experience with Docker or similar container technologies

Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.
