ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a crucial team member on our infrastructure team managing and maintaining our financial services platform built on a 24x7, highly-available architecture. We are critical infrastructure for our customers, so your work matters to our business. We value simplicity over complexity - both in design and communication. We're seeking a candidate who will have a strong DevOps mentality and be passionate about building elegant, cloud-native fully automated solutions with security in mind.
WHAT YOU’D WORK ON WITH THE TEAM
- Work closely with our development teams on designing, building and optimizing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Design and implement highly-scalable, highly-performance infrastructure, primarily within the AWS environment
- Build and maintain our infrastructure through automation with configuration management and infrastructure as code tooling (eg. Terraform, Chef, Ansible)
- Design, implement, and manage clustered containerized solutions (eg. RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Troubleshoot production issues and assist in remediation fixes
- Advocate for automation and simplicity, striving to foster innovation for our engineering team
- Provide leadership by engineering solutions to current technical challenges, as well as in the creation of long-term technical roadmaps
WHAT YOU BRING (REQUIRED)
- 5+ years of experience (DevOps / Infrastructure / Cloud )
- 5+ years of experience and expertise with multiple AWS services
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD in an agile development environment using tools such as Git and Jenkins
- 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, Helm, etc.
- Configuration management automation experience with tools such as Chef/Ansible
- Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform and CloudFormation
- Experience building end-to-end cloud solutions from design, implementation to training and creating runbooks for internal support teams
- Scripting and/or development experience with Python, Ruby or Bash
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- A high level of technical expertise, combined with excellent planning, coordination and communication skills
- Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results on a deadline and under pressure
WHAT WE NEED (PREFERRED)
- Experience with monitoring and metrics using tools such as Splunk / Sumo / Instana / Prometheus / Telegraf / Grafana
- Experience with Kafka and /or ActiveMQ
- Experience with databases such as DynamoDB and Aurora
- Understanding of repository/dependency management solutions such as Artifactory
- Experience in Financial Services
