Drata is growing rapidly and seeking a Business Development - Tech Alliances to be a key leader in the evaluation and execution of our strategic tech alliances. We are seeking an exceptional and passionate BD Lead - Tech Alliances to join our team. This individual will help drive long-term initiative goals by managing and growing Drata’s most strategic partnerships. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate your business acumen, have a bias towards action, have a passion for tech alliances, and are known for rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.  

The ideal candidate will have an extensive partner management background, with a deep understanding of partner ecosystems including tools, systems, and processes to accelerate time to market for Drata’s customers and partners. 

What you’ll do:

  • Define, design, launch, and run strategic initiatives that contribute to our go-to-market plan; lead strategic partnerships, communicating proposals and updates to senior leadership 
  • Lead efforts to scale the execution of partner activities and market growth strategies by building relationships and processes that reach across all geos, territories, and channels, with the goal of driving revenue growth  
  • Be the go-to BD resource for Drata Product and ensure our integration roadmap is being executed 
  • Create a strong partnership with sales, ensuring they are well-equipped with the content, training, knowledge of available resources, and core curriculum necessary to effectively sell Drata  
  • Be responsible for building a strategic business development plan that defines priorities, ensuring it is well aligned across Drata  and executing the plan while working with key internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

  • Well seasoned at developing pipelines, forecasts, and executing with internal and external sales teams to meet and exceed targets
  • Adepth at presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management, internally and externally
  • Ability to execute growth efforts, including account management, to accelerate revenue growth in a partnership 
  • Ability to take broad concepts and the vision and then develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics and effectively execute those plans
  • Expert at leading and managing without formal authority and bias to action within ambiguous and fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong consultative relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional teams at all levels
  • Bring data driven methodology and quantitative analytical skills to strategic planning
  • Highly collaborative, and partner-oriented professionally.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives
  • A bachelor’s degree and prior work related experience or equivalent

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of years of experience in sales or partner management within the cloud, or security industries

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity. The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. 

Tier 1: $135,150 - $166,950

Tier 2: $121,635 - $150,255

Tier 3: $108,120 - $133,560

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s leveling and compensation–including a candidate’s professional background and experience. These ranges may be modified in the future and final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
