Senior Software Engineer - Safety Machine Learning

Our Safety Machine Learning team is responsible for building and deploying state of the art detection systems for harmful behavior, fraud, spam, and more. Our team is agile and proactive in addressing adversarial behavior patterns and making our products safe by default. We work closely with cross-functional teams to drive impact at scale.

We're looking for a technical and mission-driven Senior Machine Learning Engineer to oversee end to end ML solutions that prevent abusive content or behaviors. If this sounds exciting to you, read on!

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and deploy ML systems to prevent abuse, spam, and other forms of malicious behavior
• Build reusable ML features from user behavior modeling, content understanding, and social graph analysis
• Design and launch experiments to evaluate the impact of new or updated ML models
• Develop ML infrastructure with a focus on engineering excellence throughout our systems
• Collaborate with team members (including product, data science, and engineering) to lead impactful execution

You'll Thrive In This Role If

• You have 4+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist
• You've deployed low latency machine learning systems at scale and have driven execution from ideation to production implementation
• You have programming skills in Python and an understanding of software engineering principles, including writing clean, maintainable code and building scalable systems
• You have experience with multiple machine learning tools and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
• You keep up with the industry trends and identify new techniques to solve current challenge

Bonus Points 

• You've mentored other engineers and driven project execution as a tech lead
• You've built ML systems with streaming data using technologies like Flink, Beam, PubSub, or Kafka

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $190,000 to $204,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
