Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack

About the team

Dialpad’s Senior Software Engineer will work closely with product managers, UX designers and peer engineers to build an analytics product that is insightful, intuitive, flexible and highly performant. Dialpad’s Analytics team builds an end user-facing analytics product which is an essential part of our CCaaS offering.

Your Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll own architecting and implementing complex features. The analytics product involves complex business logic, nuanced edge cases and tough performance and scalability requirements. You will take end-to-end ownership of projects driving requirements clarification, stakeholder communication, cross project dependency management, implementation, automated testing, production release and post-release monitoring. You will mentor junior engineers and help create an engineering culture that is collaborative and effective. 

Responsibilities

• Architect large features
• Write clean code with good automated test coverage
• Ensure all code meets performance and scalability needs
• Coordinate work within project teams of 1-4 engineers
• Manage project dependencies, timelines and stakeholder communication
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers

Skills you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science  or equivalent 
• 5+ years of engineering experience in software development
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in solving large and complex technical challenges, with the ability to make calls swiftly and thoughtfully
• Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality – experience architecting, designing and developing high quality customer facing software applications
• You love working on complicated software architectures of high concurrency and scale, preferably in SaaS and web environments
