Who we are

We are the web applications group of the broader global IT organization at Dexcom. We support the global marketing and customer experience team with the development and maintenance of any customer facing sites across all geographies. We follow agile scrum methodologies to iterate and deliver new features on a continuous basis. We work closely with the business to deliver customer-based solutions in regular releases. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Will report into the Global IT organization, and will be responsible for completing web development tasks for the Dexcom front-facing websites 

  • Work directly with web development team including in house and offshore resources  

  • Work with the global web scrum team to ensure work is properly planned and completed 

  • Work directly with US marketing and other Dexcom departments to complete deliveries of web requirements on-time 

  • Provide support and guidance to existing sites owned by Dexcom, and aid in support and development of new projects 

  • Aid in preventing and supporting any outages with the help of proper support personnel 

  • Create custom scripts, templates, and modules as needed to extend the functionality of the web stack, including unit tests 

  • Collaborate with other developers to maintain highest quality and coding standards 

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies in web development, React.js, Next.js, & Javascript 

  • Promote best practices, coding standards, documentation practices, governance, and architectural principles within the team to facilitate efficient implementation of web deliveries 

  • Provide continuous improvement initiatives, identify optimization opportunities, and implement enhancements for workflow and development processes 

  • Collaborate with InfoSec and Privacy to ensure highest standards of security adhering to SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, CCA compliance 

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years of experience on React.js or Next.js 

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and familiarity with APIs 

  • Strong understanding of headless CMS & serverless applications 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and IT teams 

  • Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres ideal) 

  • Experience with Node.js is a plus 

  • Experience with Amplience CMS is a plus 

  • Should be proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Outlook, GitHub, and GitHub Flow 

 

Education Requirements:  

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.

 

Travel Required:  

  • 5-%-15%

$105,800.00 - $176,300.00
