Meet the team:

This role is a key leadership position within the core Enterprise Architecture (EA) department, a growing organization within Dexcom.   In this role, you will work collaboratively to set architectural and technical direction across a wide span of enterprise applications and technologies.  You will partner with business and IT leaders to develop business-enabling technology strategies.  Additionally, you will work to ensure large scale enterprise solutions meet business needs, are aligned with enterprise IT standards, and are adequately future-proofed and cost justified.  In this role you are a trusted partner for business and IT leaders to ensure overall IT solution effectiveness and alignment to our Dexcom’s future business capabilities, while proactively reducing risk across the enterprise.   As we look to the future, you will help pilot generative-AI technologies and then expand within Dexcom while developing EA controls to properly govern the technologies.

Where you come in:

  • You will research new innovations in the market and cloud services to improve our platforms. Perform technology and product assessments to recommend changes to our target architecture and roadmap.

  • You will partner with Infrastructure and InfoSec to design cloud-based architecture that can deliver resiliency, performance, and safety required by the process and organization.
  • You accelerate our formulation of DevOps strategy and build-out of a secured cloud infrastructure for managing our microservices and various system components in the GCP cloud, including CI/CD pipeline.
  • You support the development of a practice for real-time predictive analytics and machine learning on operational and business data captured on our event bus to enable new business opportunities.
  • You will work with leadership to introduce Generative AI technologies within the firm while integrating AI tools with existing EA governance practice.
  • You mentor existing team members by imparting expert knowledge to build a high-performing culture in IT.

What makes you successful:

  • You bring 10+ years’ experience as a senior system engineer or architect and have delivered enterprise solutions for large scale data stores (transactional and ODS), integrations, or in support of customer-facing enterprise applications (eCommerce, Web, or mobile apps).
