Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Java developer to lead architectural decisions, drive technical solutions, and contribute to the success of our automotive-related projects. Daily Tasks and Expectations:

• Determine and implement software architecture using established design patterns.
• Engage in technical discussions with customers, providing insights from a technical standpoint.
• Design solutions and create technical concepts, ensuring clear communication in English.
• Review and design interfaces (REST, SOAP) and database changes.
• Analyze complex Java applications and address vulnerability scan results.
• Maintain and refactor existing codebase, implementing new business logic as required.
• Support other developers within the team.
• Coordinate software build, delivery, and deployment activities, including documentation.

Qualifications

• Programming Expertise: Extensive experience with Java (Java 8) and Java Enterprise Edition.
• Web Application Server: Proficiency in working with Web Application Servers, particularly IBM WebSphere, including the liberty profile.
• Interface Protocols: Deep understanding of standard interface protocols such as REST and SOAP.
• Database Management: knowledge of relational databases.
• Version Control: Proficient in version control systems, particularly GIT.
• Agile Tools: Familiarity with Kanban Boards and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Language: English fluent.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in the automotive industry.
• Experience with Spring Boot framework.

Soft and Communication Skills:

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, a basic understanding of German is an advantage
• Agile mindset with knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Comfortable working in a distributed team environment using virtual collaboration tools.
• Self-learning ability and a strong team player mentality.
