Senior Software Engineer - Frontend (US Remote)

The LXP Application team at Degreed is looking for an experienced Front End Developer who is excited about architecting and implementing scalable systems to join our team. In this position you will provide technical leadership to Engineers and work with the Product Manager and Engineering Manager to implement reliable, robust and scalable solutions for the Degreed LXP as well add new features, fix bugs, and drive the Degreed product forward. Day in the Life

• Provide technical leadership to the team with design, architecture and estimation of front end components and workflows. Own end-to-end implementation of new user-facing features and/or enhancements to existing features
• Work with the Product Manager and the team in planning and elaborating technical stories for sprint releases
• Participate in troubleshooting production issues and work with the team to continuously evaluate and improve the quality, reliability, and scalability of the LXP application
• Conduct research, build proof-of-concepts, and lead front end architecture/design discussions
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing engineering processes including deployment, monitoring, localization, accessibility, and troubleshooting
• Build relationships with architects, business owners and other stakeholders across Degreed and influence technology decisions based on data

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of software development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular or React
• 8+ years of demonstrated software engineering experience in an agile environment designing, architecting, and implementing robust SaaS systems
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience
• 3+ years of experience with one or more popular front end testing frameworks
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, technical and non-technical.
• Ability and willingness to mentor other engineers.

What Sets You Apart

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 2+ years of experience providing technical leadership to a US based remote, distributed team
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Experience with C#, .Net 6, and SQL
• Experience with Containers and Serverless architecture
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services
