Software Engineer - CI Reliability

As a senior software engineer on the CI Platforms - CI Reliability team, you will both design, implement and operate in-house and external systems that hundreds of Datadog engineers rely on to develop our product. You’ll be partnering with our Compute Infrastructure, Application Developers and Engineering Efficiency teams to deliver the best, state-of-the-art solutions when it comes to running CI workloads.

What You’ll Do:

• Design systems that provide abstractions for engineers to onboard and use CI
• Continuously scale the CI infrastructure to support Datadog growth
• Define high-level operational posture when it comes to reliability, scalability and observability
• Create components that facilitate the communication of disparate systems
• Mentor more junior engineers.

 

Who You Are:

• Familiar with cloud-native infrastructure and AWS
• Someone with good knowledge of containers ecosystem
• Experienced maintaining, integrating and extending CI systems and tools
• Passionate about automation and developer efficiency
• Comfortable with scripting languages and tools (bash, awk, python)
• Strong in at least one programming language.
• Dedicated to designing services for operability and observability in the long run.
• Someone willing to participate in on-call rotation for our tools and services.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $130,000 - $300,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
