Engineering Manager I - Product Analytics (Frontend) (Lisbon)

Product Analytics aims to help developers, product managers and designers understand their users, take data-oriented product decisions and evaluate the impact of technical issues on their customer base. As the Engineering Manager for the Product Analytics Frontend team, you'll join a new, fast growing product area. You will support scaling the team, define our technical vision and help shape the product roadmap. Your team will lead the charge on multiple challenges: creating powerful but simple experiences for a new kind of customers, building analytics visualizations like sankeys and funnels to answer anything our users would want to know about their users, and leveraging our domain knowledge and AI to answer common questions in a few clicks.

What You’ll Do: 

• Manage and grow the Product Analytics Frontend team, directly managing 4-6 engineers
• Define our frontend technical roadmap in alignment with product goals and the frontend team
• Work with our design systems team to create a visual identity and simple patterns for product analytics use cases. 
• Create a strong team culture aligned with our engineering standards and our customer focus
• Participate in hands-on work: Code reviews, design reviews and some coding

Who You Are: 

• A Software Engineer at heart with a previous experience leading software engineering teams, as a tech lead or people manager
• Excellent leader with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Interested in working on an early stage project with many challenges to solve and a fast iteration cycle
• You have a track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule and collaborating closely with product partners.
• Strong technician, particularly with TypeScript and React.js, who is interested in remaining a hands-on leader
