We are currently looking for a IT Systems Engineer to join the Information Technology team in our Dublin office. 

Role summary

You will be part of the global IT and cybersecurity team. This role will maintain IT infrastructure and services, while assisting with high level technical support for Daon’s staff.   Daon staff are located both locally and in remote locations – up to 250 users. This role also involves shared responsibility for IT systems support in other locations as required including Belgrade, Serbia and Canberra, Australia offices. Responsibilities to include supporting, managing, and enhancing our M365 platform and integrations. Daon maintains a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) which is ISO 27001:2022 certified. Onsite work required. The position reports to the IT & Security Director who is based in our Fairfax, VA, USA location.

Your contribution

• Provide onsite management of IT infrastructure to include network devices, storage, VMware hosts, wireless devices site (Mac, Windows 10/11, Windows 2016/2019/2022 Server, VMware, ESXi and Linux)
• Support deployment and maintenance of M365 services as required
• In-depth knowledge of Linux OS.  Possess the ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize operation of various Linux systems.  Experience with automating tasks via Linux scripting languages
• Ensuring the availability, accessibility, and functionality of Azure Active Directory and M365 Services (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Intune, One Drive, etc.)
• Experience building/managing and maintaining a mix of VMWare Virtual machine OS’s
• Patch and remediate application, infrastructure and operating system vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with global IT team
• Provide tier 1 and 2 onsite technical support to users
• Support and configure new hires through the on boarding process (as required)
• Contribute on projects and new business opportunities by sharing knowledge and technical support
• Automate processes, audits and reporting through PowerShell
• Maintain network and workstation/ hardware and software
• Responsible for laptops/tablets/mobile devices and any future technological device security
• Liaise and coordinate with internal IT Support functions in other locations
• Update & create support documentation and helpdesk knowledgebase

You have the most of

• Minimum of 5 year’s experience that demonstrates strong IT infrastructure and cloud skills (M365, networking, servers, workstations)
• Experience in implementation and supporting M365 (AAD, Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint)
• IT or security certifications (such as Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Linux+) highly desirable
• BA in a relevant Information Technology program or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated desire to continually improving technical skills and security knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Proven decision-making experience, ability to work without daily supervision and be autonomous
• Ability to learn the business and participate in discussions to coordinate integration and migration planning while minimizing impact
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Solid experience using Power Shell to automate tasks
• Ability of fast learning and have self-motivation to solve problems
• Ability to meet deadlines and support competing priorities
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
• You are reliable, responsive, timely and courteous
